This Special Assistant to Commission is a high-level, expert resource to the Administrative Law Judges who preside over rate and other cases. Duties include helping the Administrative Law Judges in timely preparation of Recommended Opinions and Orders, and preparation for hearing, and assisting the Commissioners in their deliberative process and decision making. This involves performing in-depth analysis of public utilities applications and case filings, scrutinizing spreadsheets prepared by parties and verifying mathematical calculations therein, preparing accurate spreadsheets for the Administrative Law Judges’ use, and identifying and summarizing issues for the Administrative Law Judges.
