The Energy Cost of Service & Natural Gas (ECOS) Branch within the Public Advocates Office is seeking a Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst I to join its Cost Analysis team.
Under the supervision of the Program and Project Supervisor of the Cost Analysis Section in the ECOSNG Branch, the incumbent performs analysis of utility proposals, examining utility accounting practices and recorded costs, rate setting, service quality, and safety. The incumbent applies his/her analysis and standard economic, statistical, and financial theories to make appropriate recommendations on public utility regulatory issues. In addition, incumbent is responsible for analyzing, reviewing, and making appropriate recommendations on financial and accounting issues affecting public utilities and other job related work as required. Presentation will be required orally and in writing on ideas, research, analysis, findings, and recommendations. The incumbent also supports the Public Advocates Office advocacy at intra-agency and inter-agency conferences, workshops, and public meetings.
