EXECUTIVE BRANCH/ BUDGET & ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES SECTION:
- The Budget and Administrative Services Section is responsible for overseeing the administrative work and functions of the Public Advocates Office including the establishment of organizational-wide policies, personnel, budget and fiscal management, legislative outreach, resource planning, and business services.
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under the direction of the SSM II, the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) supervises analysts responsible for business services functions related to procurement, communications and computer resources, contract management, timekeeping, document management and retention policies, space planning activities, and work environment maintenance and improvements. Also, supervises analysts assisting with the preparation and management of PUBADV’s budget, and the coordination of budget processes with PUBADV and the CPUC.
The SSM I serves as the Public Advocates Office's Budget Officer. As the Budget Officer, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating the division's budget processes within the Public Advocates Office and the CPUC, and assisting with the formulation and implementation of the division's budget, policies and procedures. The Budget Officer may also be directed to perform other duties as necessary, consistent with the Public Advocates Office’s operational needs.
