About the Agency

The Mississippi Public Service Commission supervises and regulates certain communication companies, electric, gas, water, and sewer utilities. It is the Commission's responsibility to see that rates and charges for services are just and reasonable, that approved rates are adhered to, that utility service is reasonably adequate, and that facilities constructed or acquired by utilities are required to serve the public. About the Position

This position serves as a policy advisor to the Commissioner. The role requires a high level of discretion, adaptability, and the ability to comprehend highly technical issues related to utilities in the State of Mississippi. This is a Non-State, TIME-LIMITED (14) position

Experience in government, the ability to write orders, excellent verbal and written communication skills, membership in the Mississippi State Bar Association.
