The Mississippi Public Service Commission supervises and regulates certain communication companies, electric, gas, water, and sewer utilities. It is the Commission's responsibility to see that rates and charges for services are just and reasonable, that approved rates are adhered to, that utility service is reasonably adequate, and that facilities constructed or acquired by utilities are required to serve the public. This position serves as the Chief of Staff for the Public Service Commission's Southern district. This position will supervise the employees of the district. This position will be accountable for the district's time management and finances. This position will oversee meetings with the public, other government agency's, and the utility companies.
Excellent verbal and written skills, the ability to travel, the ability to verify and implement applicable state laws, policies, and procedures.
Experience in government, leadership, and customer service. Experience with the utilities industry.
