The Mississippi Public Service Commission supervises and regulates certain communication companies, electric, gas, water, and sewer utilities. It is the Commission's responsibility to see that rates and charges for service are just and reasonable, that approved rates are adhered to, that utility service is reasonably adequate, and that facilities constructed or acquired by utilities are required to serve the public. The agency is divided into three districts: Northern, Central, and Southern. This opening is for the Southern District. The Southern District serves 27 counties and is headquartered in Biloxi.
