About the Agency

The Mississippi Public Service Commission supervises and regulates certain communication companies, electric, gas, water, and sewer utilities. It is the Commission's responsibility to see that rates and charges for services are just and reasonable, that approved rates are adhered to, that utility service is reasonably adequate, and that facilities constructed or acquired by utilities are required to serve the public. About the Position

This is a time limited position. This position researches and advises on utility law, federal guidelines, and state policies. This position is responsible for project planning.

What you'll need to be Successful

The ability to advise on policy, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Preferred Qualifications

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3-6 years of experience. Agency preferred qualifications 3-6 years of experience in government or utilities.
