The Mississippi Public Service Commission supervises and regulates certain communication companies, electric, gas, water, and sewer utilities. It is the Commission's responsibility to see that rates and charges for services are just and reasonable, that approved rates are adhered to, that utility service is reasonably adequate, and that facilities constructed or acquired by utilities are required to serve the public. This is an X-16 Non-State service position with The Public Service Commission. This position researches and advises on utility law, federal guidelines, and state policies. This position is responsible for project planning.
Ability to advise on policy, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3-6 years of experience. Agency preferred qualifications: 3-6 years of experience in government or utilities.
