What you’ll do:

• Write orders and preside over adversarial hearings.

• Written orders will range from routine procedural orders and noncontested final

orders, to more complex orders that must be supported by competent and

substantial evidence based on the evidentiary hearing record.

• Independently control a docket of cases from the Electric, Gas, Water, Sewer, and

Steam industries.

• Review extensive pleadings, written expert testimony, briefs, and other case-related

documents in the preparation of final Commission orders.

• Work effectively with other judges, chief judge, general counsel’s office staff and for

a five-member Commission.• Provide sound legal analysis and well-drafted documents under sometimes

demanding deadlines.

• Position may require some in-state travel.

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a member of the Missouri Bar.

• 5 years of experience in administrative law, regulatory law, or government practice.

• Excellent legal reasoning and writing skills.
