As a Public Utility Auditor Trainee, you will engage in entry-level management audit duties within a professional accounting, financial management, and engineering organization that performs financial audits, management efficiency reviews or audits, and financial and operational analysis. Within this role, you must possess a working knowledge of accounting/auditing standards and administrative/technical knowledge, in addition to functioning as a team member in the conduct of on-site audits or reviews of regulated utilities. The types of audits generally include adjustment clause, compliance, operational and management audits, management efficiency investigations, and other projects conducted utilizing established guidelines or audit programs. Performing these duties may require travel (including overnight travel). You will also help in the preparation of complex analyses and prepare written reports, detailing conclusion and recommendations resulting from your reviews.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. The successful candidate is required to report to the headquarters worksite daily, unless the employee meets eligibility requirements and telework has been approved. Management may discontinue any telework arrangement at any time, for any reason. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh.
