Seeking WV State Bar admitted attorney to perform legal work in the field of public utility regulation: Review case filings of utilities; Prepare legal memoranda and legal documents relating to cases pending before the PSC, including preparation of PSC Orders; Assist the PSC in the administration of cases; Provide interpretation of court opinions and statutes and advise PSC on proper course of legal remedy; Draft and advise on agency rules; Under supervision of General Counsel, participate in court and agency litigation outside the Commission regarding Commission matters, including defending PSC Orders before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals; Review various legal instruments; Participate in regional and federal utility commission organizations; Meet with legislators and appear before legislative committees; Provide timely summaries, status reports and advice regarding legislative matters as well as matters of importance to the Commission; Perform related duties as required.
Any experience level considered. Salary commensurate with experience.
